[00:00.640 --> 00:03.460] the famous high-speed steel mower blades
[00:05.040 --> 00:10.420] in for a touch up, but we busted out a whole corner here
[00:10.420 --> 00:14.160] and needed to breeze in a new piece of high-speed steel in the corner
[00:14.760 --> 00:18.180] I just want to show this technique of using a piece of shim stock
[00:20.680 --> 00:21.640] between the
[00:21.640 --> 00:25.560] backup piece to keep things aligned and the actual
[00:25.560 --> 00:29.820] welding, soldering, excuse me, and what this does is it allows the flux
[00:29.820 --> 00:34.220] and the solder to actually flow in the back. It's only about 3,000 stick, the
[00:34.220 --> 00:39.540] thickness isn't really that critical, but lets it wet everywhere and keeps
[00:39.540 --> 00:43.800] everything in line. So the shim successfully kept it from
[00:43.800 --> 00:48.300] soldering to my backup block. You can see here how that shim stock that
[00:48.300 --> 00:52.020] was fluxed allowed the solder to actually flow and wet out here
[00:52.020 --> 00:55.720] where if it were used a carbon block or something else it would have
[00:55.720 --> 00:57.140] not filled in like that.
