[00:01.120 --> 00:08.080] I've ground both diameters on all ten of these parts and now it's time to do
[00:08.080 --> 00:15.720] the angle on the end. Since my taper is adjusted right here with two jack screws
[00:15.720 --> 00:21.320] that tilt this in the vise and it's grinding dead straight right now, I can
[00:21.720 --> 00:26.700] take this off, put my sign plate on to the nose angle that we have to grind
[00:26.700 --> 00:33.100] right here and know that it's going to be well within tolerance. There's the angle
[00:33.100 --> 00:40.460] set up on the sign plate, gripping a bar here at the bottom to be able to support
[00:40.460 --> 00:47.860] the drill that's connected with a can twist clamp, keeping this in line with
[00:48.700 --> 00:53.220] the pulley. If you're going to ask why I didn't just dress an angle on the
[00:53.220 --> 00:57.480] drill, you're not going to get these kind of finishes without traverse grinding.
Rube Goldberg for the win!
Seriously, this is very quick to set up and works extremely well.
